GUADALUPE SHRINE MUSEUM. Paintings and Sculptures.
This is a religious art museum that features the works of viceroyal artists such as: Cristóbal de Villalpando, Miguel Cabrera and Sebastián de Arteaga, among many others.
The life of Virgin Mary and Christ are represented in paintings and sculptures. There is also a representation of important personalities of the Mexican church, etc. Visitors can see small paintings known as miracles or offerings displayed in the museum halls, such paintings were made by the Parishioners in appreciation for a miracle granted, and increasing the size of the panel.
Schedule: Tuesday to Sunday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Free entry for children under 12. |
