CENTRAL POSTAL MUSEUM. Thematic.
This typical ancient Spanish XVI century museum is located inside one of Mexico city’s most beautiful buildings designed by the Italian Architect Adamo Boari. This museum has six exhibition rooms. The library and the museum are in the first floor. Visitors can find everything related to the postal service, as well as historical documents from 1580 such as: the royal document ordering the construction of the first largest post office of Nueva España, the first postal code in 1884 and the first air mail in 1917.
Schedule: Monday through Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Saturdays: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. |
