MEXICO CITY MUSEUM. Anthropology and History.
This museum is located in El Palacio de los Condes de Santiago de Calimaya, which is considered an architectural and artistic heritage of Nueva España. Its gorgeous twenty seven exhibition rooms feature the history of Mexico city’s evolution, from the Mexicas period to our time. It shows all the changes in the Mexican capital portrayed in paintings, plans and maquettes. Painter Joaquín Clausell has left beautiful sketches inside a studio in this bulding’s top floor that were created when the painter cleaned his brushes. The Mexico city museum can be considered a living house of culture that hosts interesting activities such as: expositions, concerts, theather plays, conferences and workshops.
